Roy. Words cannot express how much he will be missed. What a great man - I'm glad that I got to know him and wish I got to know him even more. My favorite memory of Roy was waking up at the camp and having a cup of coffee together while the Fredonia and ENY crews still lay in their tents after a night of the Stump Game and a Bonfire. Looking about 15 yards from where I stood - and 100 yards from my tent - I saw a mangled birdfeeder. Before I could even get the question out, he stated, "Looks like the bear got to it last night." The look on my face must have been pretty good, because we laughed about that for a solid couple of minutes. Rest in Peace, Roy.

Edwardsen Family: I am so sorry for your loss. Roy was truly one of a kind, he lived an amazing life and was loved by so many. Mary, Brooke, Olivia, Mia and all the family you all are in my thoughts and prayers. I met Roy a "few" years ago when I began my career with the Probation Department and knew right away what a special person and public servant he was. I love the sack race picture. Roy-My family was blessed to have had you in our lives. Never have I know a harder working, kinder man so willing to help others and teach the values we should all live by. Im so sorry for your loss. I didnt get to spend a great deal of time with Roy but he was always so warm and welcoming when the Fredonia boys would show up at Hope Falls. Even though I was only up every couple of years Roy would somehow know where i was living and what i was up to. He was a truly special person and he will be missed greatly.

I worked with Roy for many years and he was a very influential person in helping me become a better police officer. I loved the way Roy approached the way he did his job and how he handled others in a very direct and professional way. Roy may have not known this but many of the junior officers in the department always respected his advice and went to him in times of doubt. He impacted many others in the way they performed their jobs. I know I will miss his humor and his presence. Roy was a good man...
