Dear Mr. & Mrs. McAndrews, Donna and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I remember him as a dedicated, determined, and passionate person. Reading about all of his accomplishments in these recent years, the positive and lasting effect he had on so many young people, the steward he was of the environment, only made my respect for him grow. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Briggs and Isabelle, Donna, Helen, Bob, and children,
Our deepest sympathy to all of you. Although I have not seen Scott in many years, my first memory of him is as a sweet, sensitive third grader in my classroom at Slingerlands. As I read the tribute in the paper, I could not help but think that he remained sweet and sensitive, helpful and giving throughout his years.
Our condolences to your family. May your deep faith help you at this time and in the future.

Dear Isabelle and Briggs,
We are all heartbroken to hear about Scott's passing. Scott was our son's godfather and he was also a very special part of our wedding. We love him dearly and our son is most blessed to have such an extraordinary godfather. Scott will live on through all who knew him.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. McAndrews and family,
I was sadden to hear the news about Scott. My sympathy and prayers are with you and your family during this trying time. Scott was an inspiration to all people and seemed to live his life to fullest. I remember our days as teammnates on the football team at BCHS. I will never foget his dedication and desire to succeed while on the team and it was a great example for all young people. He will not be forgotten by any of us that had the wonderful opportunity to play with him. And know him as a person.

Dear Briggs & Isabelle, & Donna,
I was shocked to hear of Scott's untimely death. It has stirred up some touching memories. Trips to and from PSU, seeing him out there on the football field with the Nittany Lions, Wiffle ball games and Football games in the snow. Most importantly just hanging around. Though these memories hurt now, they will be the same memories that heal us with time. And the tears will be replaced with warmth and fondness.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. McAndrews,
I was stunned and so sorry to hear of the untimely death of Scott. We here in the Penn State football equipment room send our deepest condolences. I have so many great memories of Scott while he was here as a manager. He truely loved Penn State and did such a wonderful job in the short time that he was here. His memory will always be part of the Penn State Football family. He will truely be missed by all his teamates and fellow managers.

Dear Briggs and Isabelle,
I was stunned to read of Scott's death on the Times Union Internet.There was also an article in our Florida paper. I still remember Scott from Slingerlands Elementary. I was thinking of Mary Freeman as he was always one of her favorite students in Kindergarten. What a fine young man he became and what a beautiful write up in the TU. Please accept my sincerest thoughts and sympathy at this sorrowful time.

I did not know Scott, my mother knows the family. But having lived in ski towns for many years I have experienced the loss of several to avalanches, accidents, etc... May the entire family take solace in the fact that Scott's spirit and energy will forever remain in the mountains he loved. His friends are also his family and will memorialize him and celebrate his life. Stay in touch with his friends and visit Mammoth often.

I went to BCMS with Scott, and I remember him as a quiet boy who was nice to everyone. There was a lot of news coverage here in California, and I did not realize that Scott was one of the ski patrol until I saw his picture and name in the paper. My condolences to the family...

Dear Mr. & Mrs. McAndrews,
i am a 1985 grad of BCHS & i remember your son very well. We shared the football field & i will never forget his transformation, persistance & his love for everything he did. Scott McAndrews was larger than life & as John Fury said, "to me, he lives on." I remember Scott's HUGE smile & his spectacular spirit. Scott is a man i will never forget & i am grateful that i had the opportunity to know him. You are in my prayers.
