Stephen W. Eberle

Eberle, Stephen W. TULSA, Okla. Stephen W. Eberle, 55, died on August 5, 2011, following a brief illness. Steve was born in Albany, N.Y., and attended Christian Brothers Academy. He received his B.S. in horticulture from Texas A & M University. He moved to Tulsa 30 years ago and made it his home. Stephen was predeceased by his father, George Eberle, and an infant brother, Eric. He is survived by his mother, Janeth Whittemore Eberle; his sister, Marilyn; and his brothers, David, Paul, and Peter (Kristen) Eberle; several cousins, including Mark Randall, who was like a brother to Steve; and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Steve. Steve's life goal was to make the world a better, more just place for everyone. He devoted his energies to increasing awareness of AIDS and gay rights, racial and cultural equality, and animal rights. He was a passionate teacher and touched the lives of everyone he met. Graveside prayers will be read 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Relatives and friends may call at the Frederick Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.
