Susan Pfeffer Obituary

Pfeffer, Susan Renee SARATOGA SPRINGS Susan Renee Halpern Pfeffer, age 57, of the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., died Friday evening, November 2, 2007 after many years of a courageous struggle with Huntington's disease. Susan was born in New York City and resided in Albany most of her life. She was a graduate of the Albany High School and the State University of New York at Albany where she received degrees in Spanish and music. Susan was very talented musically and was an avid actress. She performed in many local theaters. She is survived by a dearly loved daughter, Charise Pfeffer of N.Y.; her loving mother, Estelle Halpern of Albany; and her devoted sisters, Diane Rubtchinsky (Ira) of Albany and Judith Halpern of Buffalo, N.Y. She also leaves nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Halpern. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Queens, N.Y. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Diane and Ira Rubtchinsky, 7 Harding Street in Albany on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. Those wishing to remember Susan may make a memorial contribution in her memory to Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
