ALBANY - Terry L. Fowler, 63, heartbreakingly passed away on May 8, 2023.
Born on November 23, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Donna and Charles Leininger. Terry was a graduate of Albany High, class of 1979. She went on to various jobs as an Albany and Watervliet crossing guard and had a passion for being an E.M.T. before a lifelong injury.
Terry will be remembered for her love for the news channel, her purses, the show Friends, hazelnut coffee, her taste for Diet Mountain Dew, and her bubblegum. Let's not forget her daily calls that made everyone's day, and will be missed.
She was an avid football watcher, bingo player, crossword puzzle junkie, and Adam Levine fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her trips to Walmart.
She opened her arms and welcomed anyone into her home. She was a second mother to many. She was known for her famous shepherd's pie and goulash.
Terry is survived by her children, John Fowler (Tonya Jackson), Wendy Fowler (Mitchell Hand), and Alexis Nusca who she loved and was loved by; and her siblings, Kurt Leininger, Joann Fowler, Lynn Fowler, Chris Leininger, and Vera Leininger. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Kaseem, Desiree, Dante, Brianna, Xavier, Tiarah and Jay'vion who she loved dearly; as well as her great-grandchildren, De'avion and Kay-Lon. Terry is also survived by her furbaby grandchildren, Gatsby, Jaja, and Mama who will miss her very much; she loved them as her own. In addition, she is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces. She will be missed by many close friends, especially the ones she made at Ohav where she spent her final year.
She leaves behind many broken hearts, but she is no longer in pain and suffering. Terry was a diabetic for many years and was very educational to help support diabetics. She will be missed and loved dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 15, from 4-8 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
