Thomas Connery Obituary
MENANDS - Thomas W. Connery, of Menands, N.Y., and Hallandale Beach, Fla., died the 17th day of August, 2025, after a long illness.
Tom was the son of the late T. Francis Connery and Mary Culhane Connery, of Cohoes; and the brother of Mary Beth Kiley, of N. Palm Beach, Fla.
Born in Troy, N.Y., on December 10, 1946, and residing in Albany, Tom attended St. Catherine of Siena grammar school, the Albany Boys Academy, and graduated from Albany High School in 1966. He then attended Junior College of Albany before being employed during the building of the Empire State Mall.
In 1979, he began a 30 year career as an investigator for the New York State Liquor Authority and the Department of Labor, until his retirement in December of 2008.
As a young man, Tom was an avid golfer, and belonged to Normanside Country Club, and then Wolfert's Roost Country Club. He enjoyed horse racing and travelled to Breeders Cups, Saratoga, Gulfstream and Keeneland race courses. His greatest passion was his travel around the country with his many friends as a 35-year season ticket holder of the New England Patriots.
Tom's ashes will be buried at St. Agnes - Cohoes cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Tommy´s passing. Great friend, great memories. Every NCAA basketball game we´d meet at noon at Spiaks. Rest in peace, Tommy!

How sad to hear of Tom's passing. Tom was a true, life-long friend and how I recall after a long day of 36 or more holes at the Muni, we'd go to your house on Ferndale and practice putting indoors with your mom and dad smiling and looking on. Mary Beth, so very sorry. Mick and I got together with Tom a few times in the fall of 2023. He called me after Mick´s passing. I shall always remember the good times we shared at Spiak´s and our adventures in Florida.
