Farron, Thomas M. Sr. WATERVLIET Thomas Michael Farron Sr., 73, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born in Cohoes on December 27, 1948, the son of the late Anthony Michael Farron and Mary Cooney Farron. He was raised in Troy and lived in Cohoes for most of his life before moving to Watervliet 12 years ago. He was employed by Shelter Enterprises in Cohoes, the City of Cohoes where he was an electrician servicing the traffic signals and assisting the Cohoes Fire Department. He was a machine operator at Shelter Enterprises in Cohoes. Most recently, he was employed by Phillips Intermagnetics in Latham, with his son-in-law, Robert Wilkie, as a machinist for eight years before retiring. Tom loved to target shoot and go hunting with his grandsons and friends. He also enjoyed cooking and was known as "Chef Tel" by his family. His specialty was critiquing food made by others. Most importantly, he adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom was the beloved husband of 42 years of Bertha Halvorsen Farron; devoted father of Debra (Bob) Wilkie of Duanesburg, Thomas Farron Jr. (Donna) of Ballston Spa, Kimberly Farron Macri (Christopher Bailey) of East Greenbush, James (Alison) Farron of Schenectady, Bryan Hare of Cocca Beach, Fla. and the late Jason Hare; proud grandfather of Kevin Webb (Rebecca Lapins), D.J. Booth Jr., Gabriella Burdick, Jaxon Smith, and Dyllan Courtright; great-grandfather of Avery Webb and soon to be born Ansley Webb; brother of Edward Farron (Erin) of Latham, the late Jack Farron (Laura); his sisters Beth Cocca (James) Wichita, Kan., Mary Ann O'Connell (Bill) of Troy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. He had a special relationship with Jacob Farron and the late Keith Farron. He was also blessed to have had several dedicated friends, Ed Buck, Billy Buck, Mike Wouk, Mickey Fagan, Chris Webb, Frenchie, Joe Remillard, Rich Brady, the late Al Laware, the late DP Plypiec, and the late Richie Spizowski (Janice), among many many more wonderful people he called "friend." The funeral will be on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Waterford.
