Thomas A. Rissberger

Rissberger, Thomas A. ALBANY Thomas A. Rissberger, 89, died on Monday, August 31, 2015, at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Conrad and Alice (Lohman) Rissberger. Mr. Rissberger was a graduate of Our Lady Help of Christians School, Christian Brothers Academy and attended Siena College. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Rissberger retired as vice president of First American Bank after 39 years of service. He was also employed at First Trust Company and Bankers Trust Company of Albany. Mr. Rissberger was former treasurer of the St. James Holy Names Society, vice president and director of Financial Computer Center of Eastern New York. He enjoyed his family, playing golf, mowing his lawn and shoveling his snow. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joan (Cooney) Rissberger; children, Mary Jane Rissberger, Nancy (Jack) Coyle, Constance Rissberger, Thomas J. (Kathleen) Rissberger, and Joseph C. Rissberger; his grandchildren, Nancy Brunet, Lori Batchelder, Sean and Tony Coyle and Joseph T. Rissberger; great-granddaughter, Grace Coyle; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John, Conrad, Edward, Constance and Joan Rissberger, Alice Corcoran, Mary Donovan and Anne Lant. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015, at 9:15 a.m., from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., thence to St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd. at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. Burial will follow the Mass at 12:30 p.m. in the B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
