Donna and Family,

What irony it is that I received word just today about your Mom's passing since I am in the process of right now filling out an application for my Mom for the Van Rensselaer Manor.

You and I talked many times about the likenesses of our Mom's awful affliction. I still find comfort in the suggestions and advice you kindly extended to me.

May you find peace and comfort in knowing Mom is in a better place now where memory has returned and love and dignity endure forever.

With sincere sympathy,

July 9, 2009

You are all in my prayers. We have wonderful memories of Gigi. She will always be in our hearts. We are here for you. The light will always stay on

To all Virginia's Family,
I am sorry to read of Virginia's passing. I enjoyed seeing her often on A-1 at Van Rensselaer Manor when I visited my mom. I remember her as always smartly dressed and ready to take a walk around the unit with the other "girls" on the floor.
My condolences to you all.
Fondly,
Tricia Vielkind

Aunt Virginia,
You will be sorely missed by all. We all learned so much from your love and devotion to Jesus and your family. You had much to endure and never complained, just prayed. You will always be remembered in our hearts. Have fun in Heaven.
Love, your many neices and nephews.

Donna, Dick, and the ENTIRE FAMILY,
i lived downstairs from Virginia on 4th street for about 8 yrs until i got deployed to iraq in 2003. it was supposed to be a temporary apartment for me, but Virginia kind of adopted me as i did her. we instantly became family. and we both learned a lot about life from eachother throughout those years. i heard of Virginia's passing today by a call from my mom while on the way home from a drs. appt who said the wake was today. so i was just there only to find out i was a day early. it is actually kind of fitting because of times yrs ago when i would drive Virginia to an appt. only to find out we were a day early. I am certain she was watching down today laughing at me.
there were times i would suggest switching apts with her so she could be on the first floor, but she always refused. i don't think i have ever been graced by such a strong-willed, light hearted and loving woman.
my most sincere condolences goes out the family as well as my utmost respect because i know that part of Virginia is within all of you. And Virginia was, is and WILL ALWAYS BE AMAZING.
God bless,
Angie

Oh my Gigi I will miss you so
you meant so much to me
You devoted yourself and your love
to our family

You made a promise to my mom many
years ago.
That you would take care of us
when it was her time to go.

You went above and beyond that
more then you will know
Even with your own loss
losing Uncle Joe.

My Angel Gigi I love you so much
The love you gave
Your smile
And your warm touch.

All MY LOVE,
Ellen
