Sue,
You probably don't remember me, but I sold my 1971 Corvette convertible to Wally and you a few decades ago. I was always impressed with the fairness Wally treated me in that transaction. You and I met a few years ago when you stopped at my work to pick up some documents pertaining to the Corvette. My deepest condolences to you and your family. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Bill Waller

Dear Sue, please know that Phil and I have you and the boys in our thoughts and prayers. You and Wally are two of the most caring and giving people that we have ever met in our life. Meeting you and Wally for the first time at Charlie Bernard Gulf station when you both traveled to Albany for work. You would stop in and get gas on your way to work and stop again on your way home from work. Wally always wanted to make sure he had a full tank in your 65 white Chevy convertible with blue interior. You both are the tallest and strongest Pillers of our community and that will be forever. Your commitment to the City of Saratoga Springs and All Our Residents Will Never Be Forgotten. Thanks for all you both did for Phil and I when we were starting out and remodeling East Avenue and the many times we were out together listening and dancing to Skippy and the Pistons. Memories are Forever. Sincerely, Phil and Murph

I'm fortunate to have shared several endeavors with Wally, especially the early days of saving the old church that has now become UPH. We were board members, and also spent many hours together doing hands-on work at the building. We enjoyed just getting the work done. I hope, but am not confident, that there are more people in Saratoga Springs (and the world) that are willing to contribute as much of their time, money and talent as Wally has. Sue, William, Wally, I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a fine man.

Sue, Wallace & William ~ Thinking of you all at this time and wishing you strength and comfort. His obituary is wonderful and it speaks to the great life he lived full of ideas, adventures, family, friendships and hard work. What a great example to follow and to learn from. May his spirit live on in all of you. Rest in peace Wally.

God Rest Your Soul. Wally , You and Jim Grande taught me what hard work was. One memorable time was when you left me with a wood pile sky high and said chop that and stack it. It took me a few days lol. It has stayed with me throughout my life. Thank You

Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Allerdice family. What a loss for our entire community. Wally was the best and he will be missed and remembered by all who he touched, which was so many. For such a quiet, humble presence, Wally made such a big impression on those who knew him; he gave so much of his heart to everyone around him. God bless Wally and may he be driving the biggest loader ever made in heaven right now.

We were so sorrowful to hear this news. Wally was such an important part of the tapestry that helped make Saratoga Springs what it is today. Wally accomplished what he did with grit and determination, without asking that anything be handed to him. He had a vision for the future and continuously strove to make our city a better place, serving and supporting both those close to him and our community at large. Our hearts go out to Sue, Wally, William, and the entire Allerdice family. Despite our city's growth, it feels a little smaller without Wally in it.
With love and respect,

Even though we were late comers to the Saratoga Springs community (1988), we got to know Wally as both a wonderful friend and a loyal client. He was our friend when he didn’t have to be, and he was a darn good listener. He was personally (for me) instrumental in working through several of life’s dilemmas in a most unselfish way. To say Wally was scrupuously honest and true-blue, is a gross understatement. We will never forget you Wally. Godspeed old friend!
