Wilhelmina J. "Joan" McKenna

McKenna, Wilhelmina "Joan" J. SARATOGA Wilhelmina "Joan" J. McKenna, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 17, 2016, at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Troy, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Wilhelmina Reiter of Troy. Joan was employed as an RN and worked for Samaritan Hospital and Russell Sage College in Troy and Beverly Nursing Home in Orlando, Fla. She was active in the Clifton Park Senior Center and the Clifton Park YMCA. Joan was predeceased by her husband Walter F. McKenna in 2001 after 46 years of marriage. She is also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Reiter and sister, Lillian Graham. Joan is survived by her children, Ann (Thomas) VanZandt of Ft Myers, Fla., Andrew (Lydia) McKenna and Mary (Michael) McKenna-Colvin of Clifton Park. Proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Joan will be held on Wednesday February 24, at 1 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, Clifton Park. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
