To the family of Dr. William Petersen,
Please accept my deepest condolences. All 5 of our children were patients of Shaker Pediatrics and Dr. Petersen was a wonderful, kind, pediatrician. His manner was always so gentle and calm with our children and he always went the extra mile to explain the importance of particular treatments or recommendations. He made you feel he had all the time in the world to answer your questions or concerns. Truly a healer! May his memory be eternal.

Dr Petersen will be remembered forever for comforting and healing countless children (and their parents). I thought of him as the Dr Kildare of Loudonville... the kind of doctor who actually listened and put his soul into his work. There was a tenderness on the one hand and a confidence on the other. He was always so polished and well dressed. I would run into him years later and he would greet me like an old friend. He will be missed but never forgotten. Sending my heartfelt condolences to all who loved him.

A beautiful and wonderful obituary but one thing it didn´t say along with all of his achievements was that Dr Petersen was also the nicest man on Gods green earth! My kids were lucky enough to have him as their pediatrician for many years and his character and knowledge were only slightly second to his warmth and kindness. They don´t make them like that anymore! He will be missed!
