William Sheehan Obituary

Sheehan, William M. Sr. SCOTIA William M. Sheehan Sr., 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. William was born in New Bedford, Mass., the son of the late John J. and Marion (Burt) Sheehan. Survivors include his children, Robin (Thomas) Sarnacki, of Niskayuna, William M. (Rayanne) Sheehan Jr., of Rotterdam and Mark C. (Terri) Sheehan, also of Rotterdam; and a sister, Marjorie Sheehan Morrison, of Englewood, Fla. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lindsay, Victoria and Connor Sheehan, Emma Sarnacki, and Garrison and Dillon Sheehan, along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Holmes and the staff at Ellis Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit as well as Dr. Robert Ringler and the staff of Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their expert care and kindness. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home, One Mohawk Ave., then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union St., where a Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. To the Entire Sheehan Family, I had the privilege of caring for Eleanor and Bill over the years. Their presence at Baptist Health is sorely missed. Bill always tolerated me despite my being a Yankees fan. He was a devoted, kind man and a friend. The Sox and the World have lost a great fan and a wonderful gentleman. Thoughts with you always. Thanks for your kind words in the paper. Bob Ringler
