I was so saddened to hear this news when I visited the Euro Deli yesterday and noticed Walter´s absence immediately. I have been coming to the store since it opened and cannot recall a time where he wasn´t there to greet his customers. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies for his family who continues his wonderful legacy!

Jola, Mirek, Darek & your entire Family- please accept our sincere sympathy on the tragic sudden loss of your Father. We´ve been shopping at your store forever & Walter was always kind, helpful, funny-I can´t even imagine Euro Deli without him. We saw him Christmas week, stocking up on supplies & were shocked to hear & read that he was gone. We don´t have enough words to say sorry for your loss. He will be SO missed by so many! Please forgive us for not coming to wake as we are both sick with colds. May his memory be eternal to all who knew him & loved him.

We are very saddened by the passing of Walter and are still in shock. Our deepest sympathies to his children and all that love him. We´ve been customers since Euro Deli opened and have many fond memories of our monthly visits to get all the foods we love and always enjoyed and loved seeing Walter and our brief conversations- my wife always speaking Polish with him. Such a kind, gentle man we cherished for what he provided... a chance for us to enjoy the products of Poland and to be a part of the community Walter was certainly at the center of and helped create. We are very happy his children will continue to operate the Euro Deli and we will remain loyal customers but always will miss seeing Walter when we shop. God bless him with everlasting life and we will greet him once again in heaven.

I was at the deli on December 23. I bought kielbasa domova. I said "Dzien dobry, Panu", to Walter in my stumbling Polish. His eyes over the top of the mask reminded me so of my deceased father. I must tell you I grieve Walters loss, more than I ever expected, because I saw my fathers eyes in his. While his mouth was covered under a mask, his smile was as bright as the sun, as was my own fathers smile. Spoczywaj w pokoju. (Rest In Peace.)
