Albert Bauknecht Obituary
Dr. Albert J. Bauknecht (1933-2019) passed away peacefully on August 16, 2019. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret Lee in 2013.
Graduating Georgetown Dental College in 1959, Dr. B, as he was known, became a cornerstone of the Jacksonville dental community for nearly 50 years. He was renowned for his gentle and compassionate dentistry and he was beloved by his patients and staff alike. His life as a dentist was surpassed only by his life as a husband, father and friend. He dedicated his life to the loving, caring and nurturing of others.
Dr. Bauknecht is survived by his brother Charles, sister Ann, daughter Marla, son Steve, son Joe, daughter-in-law Lauren and two grandchildren Lindsay and Ben. A Memorial Mass will be held on October 19, 2019 at Assumption Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Florida at 1:00pm.

Dr B was my dentist and family friend growing up in St. Marys. My mom was his hygienist until he moved to Jacksonville. He was a kind and gentle dentist who always put his patients first. I will remember him fondly all my life and miss him greatly.

Albert Bauknecht was a gentleman and a true professional.He always had a kind heart and words of encouragement for those around him.
He gave of himself to family, staff, patients, and to our dental community. He was a role model for many of us just starting in the profession.
We are standing on the shoulders of those who came before us. We are all better for having Al Bauknecht in our lives and we will miss you, Al. May your family,patients, and friends cherish the memories you made together with Al and may his name be an abiding blessing always.

Dr. B, you taught me so much, not only how deep the love of family goes but how true compassion for others is shown. You were an amazing man. I thank you for making me a part of your family and allowing me to spend the time that I spent with you and your family. I will miss your texts and phone calls, but I will never forget. I will see you and Alice one day again and it will be a joyous time for sure.

Dr. Bauknecht was a true gentleman and statesman of our profession. We have lost one of the dental giants here in Jacksonville. He set the bar very high for clinical skill and human compassion and I will always appreciate his positive influence in my life. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and many friends.

Dr. Bauknecht was a true mentor to me over my career. Whenever we spoke, I left feeling better about myself and I learned something about life and/or dentistry. I will truly miss his presence in my life. May the Lord grant him eternal rest. I will be praying for all that will miss him.

Dr.Bauknecht is cousin Al to me. He was always a fun and loving guest in our home as I was growing up. A good time was always had by all when Al and Charlie were around. Such a very special person!

Dr Bauknecht was a wonderful, kind and compassionate man, who was loved by all who knew him. His passing is a great loss to the dental community and to Northeast Florida. He will be dearly missed.

First ... He was a special man and great person ..which made him an awesome dentist !!! The dental community lost a great dentist when he retired but now the family and friends have lost a great man ! Many prayers for you the family ... he was such a perfectionist..! Dr. Bauknecht was an excellent dentist and a very thoughtful and kind gentleman. As a colleague and Dentist in Jacksonville for over 30 years, I never heard anyone, Dentists or patients, have a bad comment for Dr. B. Rest in peace and a job well done.
