Alison GRIMES Obituary

GRIMES Alison Bynum Grimes, 57, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on August 14 following a courageous 15 year battle with cancer. Alison was often found chaperoning field trips, assisting teachers in the classroom, and alongside swimming pools and baseball fields cheering on her children. So sorry to hear Alison has gone ahead. Even though it had been some time since we last spoke, she and Jeff have left us an abundance of great memories and experiences in our early adult lives.

Erin and Shelby, I am truly saddened to hear of your mom's passing. You girls and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many memories with Alison as we cheered our girls on at swim meets. They were fun times that I miss. Take care girls and God bless you all and your family. Alison was an angel on earth, and I know she is one in Heaven. She had such a sweet and kind spirit, and made an impression on all who met her. She will be missed by so many people, both friends and family, but we are all thankful to know that she is a Christian, and now her body is healed, she is in no more pain, and she is in Heaven.
Blessings to all who knew and loved Alison,

My deepest sympathies to your family. Tommy and I had the blessing of knowing Alison in our younger years at Terry Parker High School. Then, later in life, our son, Sam, and Erin, were at Lonestar together. Alison was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I still remember her pushing around Patrick in that baby carriage at Lonestar when we were volunteering there. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am rejoicing with the angels and with Alison. She finally knows peace and perfect health.
May God grant you all mending hearts and neverending memories.

She was a beautiful soul who touched everyone around her. She is finally at peace with no pain. Bless her family and give them strength. Just know that when a bird sings, when a butterfly flies by, she's letting you know she is still here. Embrace the love she sends and find your own inner peace knowing she is sitting with our Lord watching over you.
