SPIVEY Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com Brenda Joyce Spivey (Angel) passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2014 after a valiant struggle with cancer. Brenda was born in Jacksonville to Robert and Isabel Angel on October 14, 1947. She graduated from Ribault High School and began her working career at Cain and Bultman, Inc. Later she co-founded Albys, Inc. a regional wholesale distributor of nursery and garden supplies. After retirement she returned to her golf passion where she was club representative for Hidden Hills and a member of Jax Women's Golf Association. She loved golf and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed passing time with family at her vacation home in Linville, NC. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward C. Spivey; sister, Bobbie Robinson; step-children, Edward Spivey, Jr. (Linda), Debbie Sandifer, Michael Spivey (Mary); grandchildren, Sean Spivey (Alysia), Lindsay Spivey, Jessica Spivey and Michelle Spivey and niece Jean Bell and many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 AM at Highlands United Presbyterian Church, 10900 McCormick Rd., Jacksonville, FL.
