I know that you have found a home where peace and love abound.
Where heavenly angels sing and light shines all around.

Linda

February 25, 2009

I’ll lend you for a little while, a child of mine, God said
For you to love the while he lives and mourn for when he’s dead.
It may be six or seven years, or forty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief
You’ll always have his memories as a solace in your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked this whole world over in my search for teachers true
And from the folk that crowd Life’s lane I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love and not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to take this lent child back again?
I fancy that I heard them say “Dear God, thy will be done.
For all the joys this child will bring the risk of grief we’ll run.
We will shelter him with tenderness, we’ll love him while we may
And for all the happiness we’ve ever known, we’ll ever grateful stay.
But should the angels call him much sooner than we’d planned
We will brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.”

Donna and Larry,

I knew Brian as a little boy and thought he was one of the sweetest children I had ever met. He was my son's first playmate when we lived on Tempest Street.... I pray you find peace knowing that Brian is in a better place and is waiting for the day you will all be together again.

Happy Birthday Brian...

Just thinking about you on your birthday which falls on Thanksgiving Day this year.
Boy would you have heard it from your friends...

Thanksgiving day is a time to reflect on the many things we are most thankful for.

I suppose our thoughts and memories would be at the top of the list.

I know you heard many times Father Madden say “Our love will not let a person die for us.
The ones we love are more present to us in death than in life.
We communicate with them more freely and more deeply now. We feel their sacred presence all around us. What our love senses, the Lord proclaims in his raised body and gives us back the one who left us in a new peace and presence, not of this world. Because of our love for the one who left us, we are taken to an extent with them into the life of the world to come. Its peace loosens the tightness of our hearts and softens the harshness of our tears.”

Brian will live forever in the hearts, thoughts and memories of his family and friends.

You are so missed !

Love,
The Waters Family

Brians Birthday
Thursday November 22nd would have been Brians 38th birthday. The family is spending this day in celebration of his life. We loved him so much and miss him terribly. I know his spirit is within all of us now.
The family would like to thank all of you who have sent your condolences and prayers to us. You are all such caring and thoughtful people.
Our wish is that Brian will never be forgotten and through the things I have read and been told I feel he never will be. His spirit is within us. All of us who were touched by Brian have something special to be thankful for.
Please take a few moments and say a little prayer for Brian and yourself. Remember his kindness, fun loving spirit and laughter.
Please feel free to come by or call. We love to hear "Brian Stories". We do have a journal floating around where his friends have been writing their memories and posting pictures. If anyone would like to see the book and pass it around I will be glad to get it to them. Memories are with us always. Brian will always be in our hearts. Always remember that. He is with us in spirit now.
Thank you all again,

Love,
Donna, Larry, Susan, Holly, David, Gordon, Hugh, Mike, Katie and Jolie

It's always the weekends that are the hardest to deal with. Been almost four months now. I still wait to hear the phone ring on Friday and Saturday. He messes with me once in awhile, but it's all in fun. He tells me he has met all my crazy friends, so I know he's doing OK. I'll be there soon.

Everytime I think of Brian, I think of a smile. He exuded such happiness and personality which made him a person that you wanted to be around. I had the pleasure of being very good friends with Brian (B-Swing was my nickname for him) for several years. I am lucky to have so many great memories of Brian. It will be hard to go into a place at Jax Beach and not think of Brian and all the great times we shared.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
I love you and miss you,
K-Dog (Brian's nickname for me)

Donna and Family,

Donna, you may not remember me, but I have thought of you many times over the past thirty plus years. We worked at Prudential together and I have never forgotten when you became pregnant with Brian. The beauty and happiness I wittnessed daily on your face, seeing you unconsciously and so lovingly rubbing your baby you were carrying has remained in my memory all these years. All you wanted was a family after you and Larry married. You never realized I absorbed and cherished your precious moments as I already knew this would be the closest and only way I would ever have them myself. I can not express in words how sorry I am for you, much less how I can imagine what you are going through, but I hope sharing your gift you unknowingly gave to me to this day will in someway warm your heart.

Brian was the best friend my family ever had. We'll never forget the Saturday morning breakfasts' he brought to us while he helped remodel our house and share in the fun. The joy and friendship he brought will never be forgotten. We will pass it on. The love he had for his family was unlimited and he spoke of it often.
Years have passed, but he is still loved. We're can't believe he's not here and passing the love around. He is and always will be be a joy to his family and all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
We are happy to have known him.
May, you, as his family know how much he was appreciated and loved.
