Carl Stoudemire Obituary

STOUDEMIRE Carl E. Stoudemire, Jr., passed away October 2, 2016. Carl was born in Jackson, Tennessee on September 22, 1927 and moved to Jacksonville at the age of two. He attended local schools, including Robert E. Lee High School, and graduated from the University of Florida in 1951. He was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Carl served in the United States Army in Korea. He was active in Commercial Real Estate for many years. Carl was preceded in death by his parents Carl Stoudemire, Sr. and Ada Blackmon Stoudemire and his wife of 64 years, Joyce Buford Stoudemire. He is survived by his four children Cameron S. Tyndall, Jennifer S. Pompilius, Carl E. Stoudemire, III (spouse Judy), and Thomas B. Stoudemire; brother John Stoudemire; five grandchildren Jack Tyndall, Alex Tyndall, Arielle Pompilius, Christie Stoudemire, and Kelly Stoudemire. A private family service will be held at a later date in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to your charity of choice. HARDAGE-GIDDENS TOWN AND COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
