CAROLINE CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL Caroline Pearson Campbell Mrs. Campbell, 81, of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully on August 31, 2011 at the Carriage Club of Charlotte. She was born on October 16, 1929 in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from UNC-Greensboro in 1951 and taught kindergarten and first grade in Baltimore, MD and Jacksonville, FL. She was married to J. Wiley Campbell until his death in 1995. She occupied their home at 1210 Mundy Dr. in Jacksonville, FL until 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Sarah Hoskins Cannady Pearson and Phillips Garner Pearson. She is survived by two daughters, Sally Otto (Roy) of Greeley, CO and Mary Burnett (Frank) of Matthews, NC and four grandchildren, Sarah and Cari Otto and Thomas and Scott Burnett. She was an advocate for educating the underprivileged, was compassionate for the homeless, and enjoyed bird watching, needleworking, antiquing with friends, and making people smile. She often said, God put us here to help each other. The family would like to thank the loving staff at Carriage Club and Hospice and Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel.
