Christopher Zipperer Obituary
ZIPPERER Mr. Christopher William Zipperer passed away October 18, 2002. Born on April 12, 1981, Chris grew up in Jacksonville, attended Bishop Kenny and graduated from Arlington Country Day School. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Giovanna (Jo) Calbert and is survived by his parents, Roberta Herman Zipperer, John Allen Zipperer and his wife Barbara; his sister, Ashley and paternal grandmother, Lavonne Sanchez and her husband, Arnie. Also, aunt and uncle, Sandra and Fred Moberg; two dear cousins, Melissa and Matthew Moberg; aunts and uncles, Linda Zipperer, Judy and Gene Drummond, Debbie and Rick Brady, Terry and Ed Obst, Santo and Jackie Dovi, and many cousins. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, (TODAY) October 23, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society (www.jaxhumane.org). I still can't believe it. Chris was such a great guy. I remember how much he used to make us laugh in Physical Science class. I still think of him from time to time and I know that he is in a place where he can watch over all of his friends and family and we will all get to see him again one day. I woke up the other day thinking about the grin that Chris always had. I cannot believe it has been 2 years since he has been gone. I hope his family is at peace with his passing and know that at least heaven has a true comedian who is keeping them laughig every single day. Anyone who knew him, knew what a comedian he always was, even in his darkest times. He had a smirk of a smile that I will always remember and cherish.
My prayers are always with you and I know that Chris is watching over all his family and friends.

I cannot begin to express the depth of my sympathy. Nor my sadness. Though I never got to be as close as I would have liked, I love Christopher deeply. That goes for you too Ashley. I still remember the trip to Tallahassee when he was born. I have a photo taken that day of me holding him. It was when holding Christopher that it hit me in my heart that I would never have children. I had not thought about it in that respect before that day.

Even when he would go to far or make you mad you would just get over it, and he loved you all for that .

We are writing to tell you how sad we are that Christopher has gone from us. We can only imagine how much you will miss him. Please know we will miss him also.
We will always have fond memories of the times that he spent the night with Wilson and the good times they had playing and having fun. There was the one time when Christopher insisted on sleeping on the top bunk,with no guard rail in place. He rolled off during the night and Judy held him until he stopped crying. The next day we all laughed together knowing the only thing hurt was Christopher's pride.
There will never be another person like Christopher. He brought so much joy and happiness into our lives during the precious time we spent with him.
We will call in a day or two to see if there is anyway we can be of help. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
