1972 - 2015

CAUDELL David Ashley Caudell, 43, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away April 1st 2015, just 15 days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Dave was born on January 12, 1972 to Tommie and Louie Caudell in Dallas, Texas. After college, his incredible creativity and love of all things related to music and entertaining led Dave to pursue his dream of performing as a stand-up comedian. This in turn led Dave to meet his soul-mate, Beth, in 1998 at The Loony Bin Comedy Club in Memphis, TN. Dave and Beth Cook married in Memphis on September 23, 2000. They then were blessed with their own little future headliner, Parker Shelton Caudell, who made his debut on April 30, 2012. Dave was a devoted, loving husband and father. Parker adored him and Dave spent every possible moment playing with his young son, at the same time lovingly guiding him to be kind, respectful and caring traits Dave himself highly valued and strove to model for his son. Dave was employed in Customer Service with Genesee & Wyoming Inc, in Jacksonville and was grateful for the wonderful people with whom he worked. In addition to Beth and Parker, Dave is survived his parents, Louie and Tommie Caudell of Heath, TX, his sister Jennifer Schirato (Matt) and their children, Alex, Ella and Jack of Heath, TX and his brother Stephen Caudell of Duncanville, TX and his children Lily and Olivia. Beth's family who thought of Dave as their own include Beth's parents, Jim and Murray Benz and Aubrey and Gayle Cook, Beth's sister Kimberly McCune and her children Josh and Katie Burns and Molly McCune, and many cousins and friends. Services for Dave will be held on Wednesday, April 8 at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250.
