An open letter to my friend, Bill Greene, whom I had the pleasure of knowing and honored to be a caregiver. Actually, he became my caregiver and mentor. I initially met Mr. Greene through my employ at Southpoint Terrace. We sailed through some choppy unchartered waters in the begining and ultimately navigated ourselves through, establishing a bond and our connection in professionalism and yet the understanding of human beings, nature, in honest integral communication. We shared many a fine moment. Entertaining, enthusiastic, and sometimes just plain silly. He use to tease me that while at times I seemed to have bad luck, he would correct to no luck..Thanks, Bill.. So many fond memories, I will cherish always. Laughter, joking was a big part, still playing in my head over and over. I was fortunate enough to witness his transformation from Resident to President at Southpoint, representing his fellow neighbors. I am grateful to have met and known such a delightful, kind, caring, Southern gentleman. He spoke lovingly with much heart about his wife, Mary, his children, Brenda, Keith, his grandbabies, brother, close friends. A proud man with the twinkle in his eyes at every mention of his family. I will always remain grateful to his family for allowing me to share a small part in their lives. This fella I respected and hold in highest regard as close to my own Dad. We really had a blast together, didn't we Bill? I miss that already. I was a day late in seeing you. You meant alot to me and times I will never forget. While it pains me to not see you for awhile I know you have traveled to a better place and are in His keeping. Know I will think of you often and Yes Bill, I believe Fred Astaire could use a little competition. Just save a dance for us..I will weep and the tears shed will be ones of remembrance and I will never forget you Buddy. Your memory is alive and well. With that MUCH Respect, Sir. I salute you.
