Don (Goose) was one of the most wonderful friends I was blessed to know in my lifetime. We had a friendship that spanned nearly 30 years. I loved Don, and I miss him tremendously.

Don was a mentor in life to me, a friend, and a person I could talk to about the many things going on in the world. We had a special relationship; the type many people only yearn for.

I will always cherish the many times when a group of us would gather together at Don and Ms. Ellie's house to smoke cigars, have a drink or two, talk politics, and eat Ms. Ellie's wonderful home cooking. During these times, all ears listened to the wise counsel of Goose. I miss those times.

I pray for all of Don's family - they are my friends too - during this difficult time. My prayers are with Ray, Kristy, Kim, and Christian. Thank you for sharing Don with me all of these years. He had a positive impact on my life, and the lives of so many others.
