Elaine Koolik Obituary

KOOLIK Elaine Koolik, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, April 16, 2007. Born November 7, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, Elaine was a loving & caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother & friend. She showed her love for children by being a preschool teacher. Never meeting a stranger, she and her husband were very active at the JCA where she was a member of the Upper Crust Club. She was also a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack Koolik; daughters, Bonnie Sandler (Neil), Susan Pilcer (Edward) & Helene Saphire; grandchildren, Scott, Matthew, Laurie (Kevin), Stephen, Emily, Erika & Paul; great grandson, Dustin and many other family & friends. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday (today) at New Center Cemetery located in Evergreen Cemetery (43rd & Liberty) with Rabbi David Weiner officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the JCA, the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer Association. Arrangements are by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
