I was only his step dad , I tried to raise him as my own son, I cherish the many hrs we spent together pitching a baseball , hrs at the batting cages, he drew a crowd at the batting cages, he was the only 10 year old who could hit 90 mile fast balls like they were only 40 mph, it was like I lost my own flesh and blood, to this very day it is still.hard for me to believe that he is gone, what a loss of talent and loving young man, I still love and miss him and will for the rest of my life.

To all who knew Grant:
I didn't know Grant very well and can't remember much about him, but what I do remember is that he was handsome, funny, outgoing, and athletic. The thing I remember most is him bugging his sister, Scarlett, and her screaming 'Grant!' I'm sure that brings a smile to everyone's face.
He will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him and will always be with all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his close friends and family. May God Bless you all and bring you strength when you need it most.
Much Love and Blessings,
Crystal Scheider and Family

Dear Favre Family,
We are praying that you will feel God's love, comfort, and healing power with each new day that comes. My parents and I lost my brother 12 years ago in a car accident. He was 24 at the time. I encourage you to look into the www.compassionatefriends.org and make every effort to meet each week with other families who've experienced the same kind of loss. We all need each other and when you surround yourself with others who have been through a similar tragedy it provides unbelievable comfort and you will be able to begin the healing process. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
In His Love,
Richard & Debbie Miller

Dear Favre Family,

I work at PCDC and have just learned of your loss. I am truly sorry. I do not know you nor you me, but having just gone through the death of a loved one I know how encouraging it can be to know people are praying for you. It's hard to understand God's ways and we often do not but, one thing we know for certain He loves us and promises to never put more on us than what we can bare. Praying for your family during this difficult time and the days ahead.

I was so very sorry to hear about Grant.

I hadn't seen Grant in years, but I still have a picture of him when he was about 4 years old with Scarlett, Melissa and Andrew in the backyard of your old house in Riverside. They were all dressed up and hunting Easter eggs. They all looked so adorable!

Please know that I am praying that God will bring you strength during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear of Grant's passing. I was the police evidence technician who came to your home when you were burglarized about 8 yrs. ago and Grant showed me all of his Packer's memorabilia. He was such a nice and polite young man. Please know that he's in a better place now and will be waiting for the rest of his family when they arrive in heaven.
