Harvey J. Gartner

GARTNER Harvey J. Gartner, 57, passed away December 31, 2004. A Jacksonville native, he was president of Gartner Rag Company. He was a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center, Jewish Men's Club, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Mr. Gartner was a supporter of the FCCJ Artist's Series and supported the arts at the Jacksonville Jewish Center. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Liz Gartner; two daughters, Tiffany and Jennifer Gartner; two sisters, Linda Ginsburg and Karen Watzman (David); a brother, Brian Gartner (Cheryl); a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Van den Burg (Mercer); nieces and nephews, Leslie Platcock (Brian), Mark Ginsburg (Jill), Tracy Beaver (Scott), Michael Gartner, Alexis Gartner, Jessica Watzman, and Allison Watzman; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2005, at New Center Cemetery (Evergreen Cemetery at 43rd and Liberty Street) with Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner officiating.
