Howard and I were shavetail second lieutenants together, and we remained close friends for the next 63 years. Every time I had the pleasure of his company he vividly remembered those days. Howard was an especially good person and an exceptional friend. His indelible smile and warm heart were uplifting to everyone he met. I miss my special friend. Shirley joins me in wishing God's blessings on both Howard and Pat.
