John Tomaszewski Obituary

TOMASZEWSKI John E. Tomaszewski, " Tom" passed away Friday August 29, 2003. Tom was born in Newington, CT and grew up roaming the meadowlands of East Hartford, CT. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, serving as an aircraft mechanic in the South Pacific. He continued doing the same work for the next 30 years and retired from NARF at NAS Jacksonville. Tom was a simple, honest man who was gentle, kind, and possessed a love for life. He had a passion for tools and machines and was an excellent mechanic. Surviving are his loving sons Steven J. Tomaszewski and wife Berni, and Stanley J. Tomaszewski and wife Stephanie; 3 grandchildren Matthew, Kacey, and Samantha; his brothers Stanley Thompson and Edward Tomaszewski and wife Evelyn; his sister Mary Bogush; and former wife Jean F. Tomaszewski. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday September 2, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1415 McDuff Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Pastors Kinley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to HabiJax for Humanity, 2404 Hubbard St., Jacksonville, FL 32202. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
