Mr Brockington was my English teacher in 1981. When my daughter was a senior in 1996 he reconized my daughter's last name and told her I was a great student. I think he wasn't very truthful, but that made my day. I remembered him for wearing a different suit every day. I feared him and had an incredible respect for him. Job well done Mr. Brockington. I made it and you made a difference.

Dr. Brockington was my school grandpa. Unbeknownst to the rest of my fellow 10th grade US History class, I was his favorite student.
Dr. B always looked out for me and gave me the best advice while taking me under his wing. I was not only his student; I got to work closely with him as an educator. We would laugh and joke about how times have changed and kids are not made like they were back in the day. He was a great man. So wise and humble.
On behalf of my family and your Cornerstone family, you will be missed dearly. He made a big difference at Cornerstone and was loved by all students, teachers, staff and parents. Res on Dr. Brockington. I love you!

Dear Daddy,

I'm trying to figure out this journey called life with you no longer in it. Isaiah and I miss yo so much but you deserved a rest from your labor. I am doing as you taught me and drilled in me and that is to always take care of business first. I am truly grateful for all the love, wisdom, advice, and lives that you touched. I can hear you saying now, you've got to be tough! I am Daddy, you prepared me to the best of your knowledge and ability to navigate in this world and I have passed it on to my son. One thing that goes without saying is that I loved you and I know that you loved me. Kiss mama and grandma for me.

Love Always,
Your one and only daughter
Krishna

Mr. Brockington was my American History teacher at Forrest High School in the early 80s. He was great! It wasn't just that he was a good teacher or that he was a sharp dresser or that he had a sense of humor or that he always seemed to be upbeat and happy. Mr. Brockington was nice and he was kind. He wrote a letter of recommendation for me to include with my college application. I liked him very much. My condolences to his family. You cannot imagine the number of students that he positively impacted.

What an awesome teacher and man he was. I enjoyed the classes of Brockington and Stubbs. They made a great team and made history come alive. -

His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

May his family be comforted by the knowledge of eternal life.

i taught history with Ken at Forrest High School from 1977--1981. He was an OUTSTANDING teacher and later as a vice principal at Lee High School where I was a teacher. He excelled at Lee too.

He was a great, kind, teacher, could get you with his quick voice. Mr. Stubbs and Mr. Brockington, shared a double classroom, boy could they be funny and bounce off each other. My homeroom, in 75-76. Godspeed to his family, may they find peace and comfort.

My forever principal! Rest in Peace Mr. "B"

October 15, 2019

He was my junior-year high school American History teacher in 1975/76. He was still Mr. Brockington then. He was an awesome teacher, but more than that he always exhibited exemplary grace and style. He carried himself regally, but without arrogance of any kind. And he was a sharp and tasteful dresser. He was truly an educator, both behind a podium and in the way he navigated his life. May God comfort Dr. Brockington's daughter and grandchild in their great loss. Know that your father and grandfather truly walked taller than the rest of us. He was a gentleman and a scholar. Rest in Peace, Dr. Brockington, and thank you for what you taught by your example.

To the Brockington Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of my Kappa Alpha Psi line brother "Brock." We crossed the "Burning Sands" together, later drilled as Naval Reservists in Jacksonville, and were members of Jacksonville's Kappa Alumni Chapter. I last saw him several years ago at a BCU Homecoming game. I was able to talk with him by telephone over the years until the onset of his illness.

May your memories of him be filled with joy, and may you hear his deep voice coming from around the corners in the days ahead.

He dressed sharply down here on earth and I'm sure he will set the curve in heaven. I know he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

God bless each of you.

Kenny, you are resting in the arms of our Lord and you are free from pain. You were a warrior!!! Our lives as two sister's children were alike in many ways. We were both dedicated educators, history buffs, loved teaching children about history and life, and most of all we loved to communicate with everyone (you more than me).
Rest in Heaven Kenneth Warren I'll see you later!
