My dear friend, it's been a year since your loss. I think about you all the time and you haven't left my mind all day, not even for a second.

Of course I am sad and I miss you beyond words. But what keeps a smile on my face is the "rad!" times we had together! Riding around in your truck aimlessly listening to Say Anything and laughing until our stomachs hurt!

I know that you are looking down on all of us that were so lucky to be a part of your life. I know that you wouldn't want us to be sad, but to have a smile on our face and laugh at all the hilarious things you said and did!

You were the most amazing person I've ever known. There was never a dull moment. I will never forget you and the precious memories we had!

My heart goes out to the whole Murph family. Keep your chin up and keep smiling! That's what Larry would want.

Lare, Ginny had a birthday party for Will's 3rd birthday today. It was such a nice party and he had such a good time. I thought about you the whole time (as I always do), and I just couldn't stop thinking that you should be there, playing with Will and Noah and putting all Will's presents together. That was suppose to be your job. I know you were there watching over them with that big smile on your face, and beaming with pride. You left Ginny and the rest of our family with the most precious little boys. It comforts me so much to spend time with them and I love them with all my heart. I look forward to the day I can be with you again and I can't wait to wrap my arms around you. Please continue to watch over all of us, especially Ginny and the boys, and always let them feel your presence. Ginny has a big job raising the boys, so please be there for her to draw strength and guidance from you when she needs it. I love you with all my heart Larry, forever and ever.

I came across this accidently, and am blown away with shock and grief. I feel so sorrowful for your family's loss.
You were a funny little freckle-faced kid and you and my little brother Chris had some great times together back in the old neighborhood, skating around and playing pranks on me and Apryl.
As luck would have it, your first son was born on the same day and in the same hospital as my brother's son, and I vividly remember the sheer joy on your face and pride of becoming a dad and sharing that awesome moment with an old friend. I'm sorry that your sons will not have a chance to know their wonderful father, but I know your sister and mom will make sure to make a you a big part of their lives and keep your memories alive.
Rest in Peace Larry.

God called your name so softly
That only you could hear
And no-one heard the footsteps
Of angels drawing near.
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home.

I Love You Larry.

November 17, 2011

You were my best friend, I will always think about all the good memories we had growing up. My prayers good out to his family.

My Love –

Today marks one month since I lost you. A big piece of my heart and soul disappeared that day, and I miss you more and more with every passing minute. I know you are here, watching over the boys and me, and that thought gives me more comfort than you can imagine. I just wish I could see you and touch you – I would give anything for a big Larry hug right now. I know I will see you later, but later is so very far away. Until then, from you to me and back to you, I love you darling till the day that I die.

November 16, 2011

Larry, I was in total shock to hear about the loss of your son. I am so sorry and I know words can not express what one feels. My prayers are with you and your family.
I feel like I know him because of the love you had when you spoke of him and of your family. My goodness, he looks just like you Larry. I'm here if you ever need me.
God Bless you and your family.

I remember the first time I met you Larry you were only 9 years old. You were very respectful, with yes sir and no sir when I asked you anything. I thought to myself what a good kid this is. But through the years from watching you become a grown man and father, you made me so proud at the person you had become. I will miss seeing Brandon light up by just knowing that his Bubby is coming over. We could not ask for a better big brother to Brandon or little brother to Apryl, and I certainly could not have asked for a better step-son. You will be deeply missed, but will be in are HEARTS forever. I will see you again someday. I just want to let you know I will fly Will and Little Larry around as much as they want their Papa to, just like their daddy would do.

I LOVE YOU LARRY! SHAWN

Larry,my beloved first born grandson, there are no words for the sadness in my heart. Not a minute of the day goes by that I'm not thinking about you and what a wonderful young man you are. I really miss hearing you say "hey nan" and always closed our conversations with "love you nan".I will always cherish our time together, just wasn't long enough but I have wonderful cherished memories of our time. I remember the day you came home from the hospital I dressed you in 2 of the cutest outfits to take your picture which I stll have, I remember the day you threw your 1st grade report card in the blue bin and told me you didn't get one, or how I had to trick you into getting a bath every night. I remember the day you called me and asked me if it would be ok to name your little boy William after papa and I told you we would be honored. I could just go on & on about you because you was such a good little boy and grew into a Wonderful young man, a wonderful son, brother and especially a wonderful dad. You will never be forgotten and I will always love you with all my heart.

Lare, it has been almost one month to the day since I received the worst phone call a mother could get. My heart aches for you everyday and not a minute goes by that I'm not thinking of you. I would give anything to hear you say "hey mom" everytime the phone rings, or to hear you tell me you love me before we hang up. Wednesday nights are especially hard because I'll never have you here for dinner again, asking me if the mashed potatoes were real or fake. You thought you were such an expert on that, and yes, sometimes I had you fooled. You made us laugh so hard with your crazy sense of humor and I am so glad you passed that same sense of humor on to your little brother. Everytime I look at him I see you and that gives me so much comfort. He adored the ground you walked on and always thought he had the coolest Bubby. We have so many wonderful, funny memories of you to hold in our hearts and I think about them all the time. You were the funniest person I know and I will always cherish your witty, spontaneous side that you loved to share with everyone. Our family will never be complete without you, but we will make you proud at how we teach your boys about their awesome daddy, and they will always know how very much you love them and always will. You were a bright light in every life you touched and that will shine on forever. I love and miss you Larry with every beat of my heart and I look forward to the day I can see you again. I can't think of anyone else that will watch over all of us like you will and that gives me so much peace. I love you with all my heart Lare and we will be together again on day. I give William a big ole kiss and hug from his daddy everytime I see him, and I also have to tackle him (over and over)like you used to do. Ginny is doing a fantastic job with Will and with the pregnancy, but you already know what a great mom she is,and we can't wait until Little Larry is born with that jet black hair and looks just like his daddy.

I will miss you for the rest of my life, but I know you're with me at all times.

I love you dearly! Mom

I remember Larry skateboarding up and down the street as a teenager. Colton thought he was so cool. Years later I saw him at a Jaguar game and he came up and gave me a big hug. He always had a huge smile on his face. Susan was so proud of him!

Surround yourselves with the love of your family and friends and the wonderful memories you have of Larry. You are in our prayers and are we are here for you.

Here are a couple of cute memories I'd like to share about larry. my daughter Vicky used to keep him when he was just a little guy.
She would put him in his carryall & sit him in front of the T. V. so he could watch the price is right every day. When he was just a little boy somebody ask him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said he wanted to be a garbage man. he was serious to when he would hear the garbage truck coming he take off out side and watch the garbage man jump off the truck and empty the garbage cans and jump back on the truck He just thought that was the neatest thing & that's just what he wanted to be when he grew up. A garbage man. Larry was a good baby a very good little boy and a very very fine and special young man. Larry was just unique. He never failed to say yes mam or no sir to all adults. You were and still are very much loved Larry. We will always miss you. love aunt mae XXXXXX

Family and friends,

Thank you so much for the overwhelming love and support you have shown us all through this difficult time. The boy(s) and I are doing as well as can be expected - just taking it one day at a time.

In addition to thanking you for all the love and support, I would also like to thank you for the respect you have shown for our privacy during this time. It is a challenging time and the family wishes to keep private the details of the tragic accident that took our beloved Larry.

I will never forget, one day I was having trouble getting will to sleep at the daycare, just in time to be saved, Larry came into the classroom and put on some bob marley tunes from his phone and got will to sleep for me. He was an amazing father, and always made us at the daycare smile. Larry you were such a cool down to earth guy and you will be missed!

Larry, I cannot express how sad I feel at the thought of not seeing your smiling face. You are such a special nephew and I have loved you since the day you were born. You have such a unique, caring spirit that most guys your age don’t possess; not to mention how you have made us laugh out loud for the past 27 years. You are loved by so many people and we will keep your spirit alive by remembering all the special times we have shared as a family. Our family will never be the same without you! I will love you and miss you forever - little Ninja Turtle.

Larry, AKA Beans:

When I received the news last week, my heart dropped. You were one of my dearest friends growing up. Even though I moved away, we still always managed to keep in touch. I am so blessed for that. You had such a huge heart of gold, and loved making people laugh. My mom still remembers the way you used to call her "Mrs. Boyles". I'll never forget the silly nickname you gave me because you got so mad that I always called you Beans! I'm so sad that you're not with us anymore; you will be missed so much by so many. You were not only an amazing husband, father, and son, but the greatest friend to many!

My condolences to your family. Watch over us now angel, and may you REST IN PEACE. <3

Larry,

I will never look out the front window of my parents' home and not think of you, out shooting hoops with Brandon, your sons, Shaun, myself, and Scott. So many memories of throwing the football around after school, skating up and down our driveways with your boom box playing in the garage until dusk, olleying over recycle bins or manualing down the street - I swear no one was as good as you, balanced on two wheels over the the nose of the skateboard. Your smile was infectious, and as we got older, you always had time to catch up when I'd return home from New England for a visit home, and you were the best older brother and young father that I ever saw; that I could ever hope to emulate. My thoughts are with your family and friends that love you so much as they grieve your departure. I'm going to miss you, man - a lot of people are, in a very big way.

Larry,
The first time that I met you I knew that there was something special about you. I could never have asked for a better brother-in-law. You were an amazing husband to Ginny and the best father for Will. Seeing the look on your face when we would play with Will was priceless. It was easy to see that you loved them more than anything in this world. Be assured that I will do my best to help take care of them and little Larry. I know that I will be able to tell them that their father was an amazing man who loved his family very much and wanted nothing more than for them to be the best that they can be. We shared some great times together and I hope that one day we will be able to do so again. Peace Brother

Dear Susan,
I was so shocked and deeply saddened when I saw Larry Jr's obituary in the newspaper. You and I worked together at Prudential (PRUPAC) in the mid 1980s in the phone unit. I remember seeing pictures of your precious children on your desk and hearing loving stories of their childhood. I know how much you loved Larry Jr and Apryl. Please know that I am here if you need me.

My deepest sympathies and a hug for you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

May God bless you,

Larry...my brother from another mother, as we used to say. I still cannot believe you're gone. From unlikeliest of friends to best of friends. I was the shy, nerdy kid, you were the loud, skater kid. Though our personalities were different, we shared commonalities that allowed us to create a friendship that couldn't be broken. It all started with a random "Hey you want to shoot some pool?". The rest was history and I'm definitely glad we decided to play pool at Rigsys that day. Gator Football Saturdays and Jags Football Sundays won't be the same without you. Not to mention all of the armchair quarterbacking and FSU bashing that follows, haha. You were a selfless person always willing to put others ahead of yourself. You were a wonderful son to your parents, a little brother for your sister, Apryl, to lean on, a big brother for Brandon to look up to, a loving husband to Ginny, an AMAZING father to Will and an awesome friend to many. I promise I will do my best be a part of Ginny's, Will's and little Larry's lives and I know you have a lot loving family that will be there too. I hope your family reading this knows how much you meant to me and I hope they know I will be there for them if they ever need me. Thanks for being a best friend and sharing some amazing memories with me; Those memories will never fade. I hope to one day meet again, but until then, so long my friend. I love you man!

Oh, and GO GATORS!!

Larry what can I say? You were a laugh and a half. While the average father was kicking back at the local fastfood joint or hanging with his coworkers, you were sharing a meal with willie pooh. You would say "Will eat eat" and He would smile and grin, sometimes I think he would eat your whole lunch lol. You were a smooth dude that had a smile that could light up a room and I will never forget you. Will is the man of the house now so let's hope he saves some food for Ginny and Lil larry!

I saw larry everyday when he came to eat lunch with william. he always had that goofy smile on his face. what always amazed me was he would always call first to make sure it was ok! he was always so excited when will learned a new word and couldn't wait to tell us. even when will started dancing larry would stop in the middle of the daycare and say "will break it down" and both of them would start dancing. he was a true definition of a father, and his legacy will live on. we love you and you will truly be missed. larry, tell my dad i said hello, he will be the one on the grill with the heavenly bbq!

Larry,
My heart is broken that you are gone. I could not believe it when I heard the news. I was so excited to see you this past April. You are the only one of the grandkids that came over to me to give me a big hug. It really made my heart smile when you gave my husband a little talking to about taking care of me. I remember our little slumber parties at Aunt Francis and Uncle B’s house, and how everyone said we looked sooo much alike when we were younger. I miss those days. I regret not staying in touch with you better over the years. The only thing giving me piece of mind in your passing, is knowing that my daddy is taking EXCELLENT care of you now. Nobody in our family should ever have to worry about that. You will forever be in our hearts.

My Baby Boy, My heart is shattered and I don't know how I'll go on without you. You have been the son that any mother would give any to have and I'm so thankful for the time I had you. I never doubted your love for me because you constantly showed it. I will always be there for Ginny and your babies so just know they'll be loved and taken care of, and they will know their daddy and how much he loved them. You were also the best big brother to Brandon and he will miss you terribly. Please give Papa a hug for me and tell him how much I miss him. You'll live on in my heart forever and not a day will go by that I won't grieve for you. I love you with all my heart. Mom

Of all the people in the whole wide world, Larry, you were the last person I expected to be gone. You were always such a polite young man who loved your family....especially Ginny and the boys.

Rest in peace, Larry. We will surely miss you. You were always loved...and will continue to be loved and missed til we see you again.
