Manny(FOSHO) to me. You called me at work that Friday. I talked to you and your people. Then I called you when I came home from work. We had the same old conversation. I asked "How ya been" "Still on ice" And "How are the kids and baby mama" You were a "PROUD" Father, and I admired you dearly for that!!! I loved to hear your laugh, I hear ya now!!! So I know you are Alright!!! "FOSHO".
I remember the last time I saw you. You were smiling from ear to ear. We were at the gas station on Lem Turner. "I was like Rick Ross is that you?" We started laughing. It was always good to see you sweetie!!! I have sooooo many good memories, I can't begin to write them all. I know you were a Good Man, Loving Father, Lovable Son and a Great Brother and the Best Friend anyone could have.
I WILL TRULY MISS YA SWEETIE
To Manvel's family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray that God gives you the strength to endure this time and the road ahead, In Jesus Name.
With Deepest Sympathy

To the family of Manvel,
I went to middle school with both Manvel and Eddie, and would run into Manvel from time to time in the city. He was a very impressionable young man and one for which if you ever had the pleasure of making his acquaintance would be hard to soon forget.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. The bible says in (Matt 5:4) Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Things that happen in life we often try to figure out through natural rationalization, but we Thank God for his ways not being like our ways neither his thoughts as our thoughts. For he alone know the thoughts that he thinks toward us, those thoughts are of PEACE and not of evil, to give (you) an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus; is my prayer. (Phil 4:7)

It wasn't even 24 hours since I last saw "Dinosaur" on Friday night and he told me "Don't start nothing tonight". Needless to say the very 1st call I got from my cousin Mandis Saturday morning was "Bro is gone". I hung up on my cousin with disbelief. But when I called Manvel's cellphone and noticed it went straight to voicemail I knew something was wrong and instantly alot had went through my mind such as when we were kids at Harbor View to growing up in Sherwood and him growing into the man and father that he had become. Manvel had a heart as big as his size and he always held his head up high even when those around him would try to hurt him and tear him down. And that's what I loved about him. I have pretty much gotten past the tears but the memories of my friend will be forever in my heart always. God does things for a reason and I believe that this is a sign for a lot of us not to take life for granted and get ourselves "in order". So to the Family, Loved ones and Friends as we mourn a great loss, we must also celebrate the life of Manvel "Dinosaur" Harris.

Auntie, Roz, Jay,& Kita,
Life throws us curves everyday in everyway, and we sometimes find ourselves asking "why"??? I can't take your pain away, but I can wrap my arms around you all and embrace you for comfort. Always know that God will not put no more on us than we could bare.Seek comfort in the lord and he will carry thee, remember it is now he carries you. I love you all, and I am here for you...

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
