Mark and I only worked together for 6 mo. at TheraTech in the mid '90's but in this brief time I saw what a great guy he was. Traditional all-americans are getting hard to find. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

How sad I am to hear of Mark's passing. He was one to make you laugh and smile, he was one to get it and just know what to do. I too had the honor and privilege to work with Mark while he was at Watson as he made a difference with the colleagues and friends he interacted with and also in people's lives with the products he touched. My heart goes out to his family and friends at this time. He will always be remembered as a great colleague, trusted friend and an incredible human being.

I meant Mark while we were both employed at Watson Laboratories. He became a good friend, and we often chased the ball together on a number of the golf courses in the Salt Lake City area. I came to know Mark as a caring person who would do anything possible to assist a person in need. I will miss him dearly.

Seven years ago Mark hired me on at Watson. It was refreshing to have a boss that was very personable and down to Earth. Everyone in the office appreciated his sense of humor. I will always be indebted to Mark for taking a chance on me and getting my career in the right path. My thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family at this time.

I have been and still, currently shocked and saddened over the loss of what I remembered and encountered on a periodic basis as a beautiful soul. The few times I was able to embrace his presence as I recall during most of the times were feelings of warm and inviting, but always inclusive, due to his unwavering smile reflecting his radiant personality. Mark, this kind of love you exhibited here on this earthly plane will truly be missed but will continue on, now in the spiritual realm. Rest in peace, my friend and my sincere prayers and condolences to your family.

To Mark's family and dear friends,
Kathy and I are friends of the other individual that was involved in the accident. Though we never had the privilege of knowing Mark this side of eternity, we pray for God's peace and comfort to envelop you as you grieve this sudden loss of a dear friend and brother. From what I have read of Mark, I gather that he knew our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and is now with HIM in paradise! What a great promise and reward that life in Christ holds! I look forward to meeting Mark someday!

My condolences to Mark's family in your time of grief. I worked with Mark closely at ZARS in Salt Lake City. I remember once when I startled him in his office so completely that he whirled around from his computer with such force that his glasses went flying off his nose, sailed across his work space, and hit the opposite wall to the side of the doorway, where I had just entered. It was very funny to see his reaction. He took the start very well, smirking with amusement that I had been successful in taking him by surprise. May you find peace in Mark's memories and the joys and successes of his life.

While I worked with Mark for a short time at Watson, it was a memorable time. We enjoyed a lot of laughs at the office. My favorite Mark moment was during a meeting during which a corporate visitor was meeting with four of us in a small conference room. The tone of the meeting was very serious. The corporate visitor was wearing the ugliest sweater ever made. Mark slyly passed me a note that read "where can I get a sweater like that?". I nearly had a stroke stifling my laughter.
The world has lost a wonderful man who brought a smile to nearly everyone he met. My condolences to his family. Peace be with you knowing that he is still inducing smiles and laughter in a better place.

I can't begin to say how sad I am to hear of Mark's passing. We worked together for several years and quickly became good friends. He could make you laugh until you felt your side hurt and eyes water, and pick right up the next day where it all left off!! Yet behind that smile and humor was a person who was warm, kind, and truly cared about those close to him. Even after I left Watson, we kept in touch until just a couple of years ago, and he could still make me laugh when we got on the subject of our favorite sports teams, politics, or just life in general. He made a bigger impact on me than I ever could on him and I'm a better person for having known him. My heartfelt condolences go our to all of his family and friends. Thanks you "slick puppy" for all the great times! I will miss you, my friend.
May his memory live forever.

The first time I saw Mark was on a bus in Salt Lake. He was going to a job interview at TheraTech where I worked. I remember him asking the bus driver in his courteous way for his stop. I guess he got the job, since I started seeing him at work. We became friends, like anyone did that met Mark. Over the years, we played a lot of pool, had a few too many beers, and had some great times. Time went on. My wonderful wife, Michele, met him and loved him as much as I did. I was so sad to get this news. My heart goes out to his family, especially his Mom, who I know he loved very much. There are people that you know the world is dimmer once they're gone and Mark is one of them. My thought of Mark is a simple one. I miss him.

I had the opportunity to work side by side with Mark for many years. A caring person who would do anything for anyone, Truly Genuine! What a wonderful man! Mark's spirit and love for life was incredible, Mark told me so many wonderful funny stories. I used to laugh so hard during some of these stories he would make me cry. I couldn't wait until the following week to hear more stories about his weekends or how his dogs used to terrorize his house when he wasn't home, and how much he loved his motorcycle. Mark's sense of humor and his ability to just be okay with things and to enjoy life regardless of how it was going really inspired me. He always had a positive spin on life; he lived with the intention to choose life with no regrets, no fear. One thing Mark did for me that I will always cherish is the time when my mother passed away almost 10 years ago. Mark helped me get through this rough time in my life. He knew when I was having a bad day and cheered me up without ever uttering her name. “he knew, he always knew” though I never had the opportunity to thank him, he will always be remembered.
I am deeply saddened and will cherish his memory forever. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.
My wish for you is,
Comfort on difficult days
and
Smiles when sadness intrudes...
With Heavy Heart,
