Norbert Vincent "Killer" Killmeyer, 81, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born May 28, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the second child of Regis T. Killmeyer Sr. and Eulalia Cassidy Killmeyer. It was there he met and married his wife of 58 years, Ruth Naomi Snook. Norbert retired from the Florida Air National Guard in 1994 after 34 years of service and from Publix Supermarkets in 2014 after 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth, his parents, sister Audrey Killmeyer Edwards, son David Killmeyer and daughter Nancy Killmeyer.
Norbert is survived by brother Regis (Elizabeth) Killmeyer Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa., sister Loretta (Bob) Lang of Pittsburgh, Pa., daughters Lylah (Jim) Seaton of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ruth Killmeyer of St. Mary's, Ga., son Steve (Deanne) Killmeyer of Yulee, Fla., along with 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all.
He loved to visit the zoo with family. Memorial tributes can be made in Norbert Killmeyer's memory to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.
