Pauline Snyder Obituary

SNYDER Pauline Virginia (Malbon) Snyder, 85, resident of Ponte Vedra Beach since 1978, joined our Father in Heaven Friday, August 15, 2008. She was born August 9, 1923, in Portsmouth, VA to the late Earnest and Minnie May Malbon. Pauline was retired from CSX Railroad after 30 plus years of service, was a devoted member of Parkwood Baptist Church and was a member of the Sawgrass Country Club. Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family members which include her son W. Thomas Snyder and his wife Susie of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren Tamrah Snyder Matthews and her husband Joe of Charleston, SC, Brynan M. Snyder and his wife Christin of Jacksonville, FL and Virginia Snyder Caracoglia and her husband Gregg of Colchester, CT; great-grandchildren Aila May Matthews, William Logan Snyder and Billy Caracoglia; and nieces Frances Howard Lawrence and her husband Hal of Virginia Beach, VA and Linda Howard Pell and her husband Darrell of Cross City, FL and their loving families. Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband, Peter Roger Snyder in July of 1997 and her sister Frances Malbon Howard of Virginia Beach in June of 2008. A celebration of Pauline's life will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Quinn-Shalz Chapel, 3600 S. 3rd Street, Jacksonville Beach, FL with the Rev. Gregg Bennett officiating. Family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at 6:00 pm. Pauline will be buried alongside her loving and devoted husband, Pete, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
