Raymond Douglas Fox

FOX Raymond (Ray) Douglas Fox, 72, passed away surrounded by his immediate family, June 26, 2015 at the Community Hospice Bailey Center in St. Augustine Florida, He was born in Stuart, Florida and grew up in Lexington, VA before attending Eastern Kentucky University. Ray retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. after nearly 30 years in 1995 and for the past 20 years has run his own corporate logo apparel business. Ray was an active athlete, coach and official throughout his life. Along with his grandchildren, golf was his true passion. He was a resident and active member at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club for the past 20 years. He was active in supporting many of the charitable golf events throughout the area. He was predeceased by his parents Robert E. and Carrie S. Fox and grandson Jacob H. Paulsen IV. Ray is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynne, his children Mark Fox (Barbara) of Ashburn, VA, Carrie Paulsen (Trey) of Lake Mary, FL. Grandchildren Taylor, Lauren, Sarah and Paige Fox along with Luke and Claire Paulsen, sister Rayma Lacks of Norfolk, VA, brother Bobby Fox of Macon, GA, and brother Billy Fox of Culpeper, VA. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Mayo Clinic Oncology Department, and Northeast Florida Community Hospice. A special thanks to Dr. George Kim of 21st Century Oncology for his support and genuine concern throughout the past 2 years. The family and friends will celebrate his life at a later date.
