Jan 22: I tried to reach Bob this morning on his cell Unable to get through, I thought, not good and worked my way here. In Atlanta since ‘84, I am so thankful I made a point to visit with Bob and Eileen some 5+/- years ago. I loved Bob as a brother. In ‘75 he took me in as a friend after knowing me less than a week - helped me get a car to get around, gave me work to make a few dollars while I search for steady work. Bob was an I believe still is a “great” guy who I will miss for a long, long, time. May the good and loving Lord continue to comfort Eileen and her kids.

I knew Bob for over 25 years, first as my boss in Great Southern Shows then on to Skate World and introduced to the world of hockey. He was the most generous man I knew, he helped so many people, not just financially but spending time with and listening to people with with a problem. He was never too busy to help someone known to him, or a complete stranger. When my husband died twenty years ago Bob was there for me, calling every day for months during the hardest time in my life. Finding a friend and confidant like Bob Sabourin is a rare gift, and he will be sorely missed. Bye for now Bob, see you on the other side.

Bob was a caring, kind and loving man who enriched everyone who knew him. To say that he had a great sense of humour is an understatement. I am grateful and blessed to have shared in the Sabourin journey. Prayers of comfort and peace for Eileen, Pierre, Micheline, Renee and Nichole.

I met Bob in 1983 at his office down town. His daughter Mich introduced me to him. This man helped so many people out from the kindness of his heart. He truley liked helping people. I respect this man very highly and his family for their loving nature from their hearts. If it wasn't for them I would have never met my wife of 34 years. Thank you Bob for all you done for me. Please say hello to Patricia for me who passed on July 1 2020.

Barb Smith called me to tell me the news. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. I only met him a couple of times, but I sure liked him. The last time was years ago a Ron’s townhouse. Joe my husband knew him a lot better than I did and spoke so highly of him. Lynne Barger
