Kathleen, Uncle Rudy will be miss by all here in Pensacola, I can remember all the late nights and sometimes all nighters we would play canasta at Mike and Mae Greeson (my parents) house. I still tell people at church how Rudy plalyed cards and how much I liked playing with him. Our prayers will be with you and yours.

Aunt Kathleen, just wanted to let you know that Pop was a very special person, not only as a military hero, but as a grandfather. He was very special to all of us and we all loved him deeply. I regret not seeing him these past years and will miss him. Please keep in touch with us and let us know how you are

"If I don't love you, then grits ain't groceries"! (Rudy "Pop Rudy" Williamson) I will love and miss this small, gentle, patient, and funny building block of my childhood life! The man who told me over and over again "Your children are the MOST important aspect of your life"! "Never EVER hit your children! Use humor and LOVE to teach them"! The best pearls of wisdom EVER given to me, and I DID JUST THAT with Beau and Kameron, who will also miss their Great Grandpa "Pop Rudy". Who have turned out to be the awsome adults that they are now. No doubt accounting that your legacy will live on through generations to come. Pop will live on through all of his Step children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren as well as his Great, Great Grand Daughter. We will never forget and will always carry you on "Pop"!

Aunt Kathleen, I have such precious memories of the man who was the first to pick up my baby son (Phillip Lynn) when he came home from the hospital. The man who took my oldest son (Jeff McBee) in when he hitch hiked down to Florida from Richmond and gave him a job. The man who taught both my sons to fish. The man who swam out 100 yards to save my son's life at Little Talbert Island when the "undertoad" (as Phillip put it) was taking him out to sea on a float. He LITTERALLY saved my son's life. A "Pop" who shared his sister at Christmas time. May the agels lift him to heavan and may the lord let him rest well, because he was a HARD WORKING MAN! He was so kind, generous, and patient. I will TRUELY miss him. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With love, Mary Kathrine.

Aunt Kathleen, though words often fall short of intent, let me affirm that my heart, prayers, love and thoughts go out to you.
We can rest assured in knowing that “Pop Rudy” is now dancing in the presence of Jesus. The stories that the grandchildren collectively share are loaded with smiles, laughs and love. Some of my earliest recollections of Pop are from summers in Pensacola, where Pop taught me the proper care and respect of the flag, about thunder being angels bowling, and Elijah’s carrying away to heaven.
Pop was unquestionably the most patient man I have ever known. He leaves behind a legacy of being loved because of the life he led.

Aunt Kathleen,
I was in Michigan on business when I got the bad news. "Pop" was always the center of love when he was around the Grandchildren. He was quite a man when it came to family. He will be, and already is, missed by anyone who ever had the privilege of being in his company. I will miss him and I know my children will never forget their "Pop".

Aunt Kathleen, I know you and Pop were very close, and I know you will miss him as much as I will. Pop was the BEST GRANDFATHER any of us could ever have. I am SOOO glad that I got to see him back in January before he passed. It was such a shock to all of us here in Richmond that he had left to go and join our Lord. I wish I could be there with you to say a "final" fairwell to my GRANDFATHER! I will always remember him with love and kindness

What a special pleasure to have known Rudy. He was a quite person but his friendship did run deep. Rudy always had a good word for everyone and loved the brotherhood breakfast fellowships. I considered him a special friend and will miss him.

Rudy was a soft spoken and very kind man whom we will miss greatly. He was the unofficial greeter to folks as they entered our sanctuary during service times. His 24 years of military service, through three periods of war, is a testimony to all. Those who know the Lord will see him again one day in a place called Heaven. We look forward to that reunion!
