I was Stephen's kindergarten teacher and was so sad to hear of his passing. He was a joy to know then and at later times when we might see each other in passing. Stephen always seemed to know just what to say. May the Lord bless your family knowing he is in heaven watching over you. Kathy Sellers

I was so blessed by Stephen bouncing across my path while attending Dixon Elementary School (first grade) all those many years ago. We had a very dramatic introduction. My soup greated his tummy as he was bouncing through the cafteria. I was so consumed with his beautiful red hair I praise JESUS, that he wasn't burned by it . As this time in our lives cross all your paths please remember our LORD JESUS is now carring all of you ACROSS THE SAND in his loving arms Somehow HE will help you to continue impacting other lives for HIS GLORY. Please read FOOT PRINTS often I will hold tight to my short BUT ,beautiful memories of Stephen, for ages to come. Patricia Haase Sneads Ferry, N.C.

I met Stephen this past May, and in that short amount of time we became colleagues, and Friends. No matter how busy we were, he always took the time to answer questions, train us on any task necessary, and no matter what, he ALWAYS made sure to take care of his people. His loss has been deeply felt by everyone in which he has crossed Paths with, and I count myself fortunate that I was one of the Lucky Ones to have been able to cross his Path. my Heartfelt Sympathy goes out to the Hollis Family, and to everyone else who was Blessed to know Steve.

To the Hollis family;
When trouble comes, we often say,” Why did this have to be?"
But blessings come in many ways that sometimes we can't see...
Everything that happens is part of Gods plan, what seems a mystery today. In time we'll understand. Remember prayers and thoughts are with you to give you strength each day. Just call on those of who love you to help you along the way... Even though I only knew Steve for a short couple of years and that was mostly through our phone conversations, I will truly miss him and the "Howdy Mamma" on the other end of the phone. I am glad that I got the opportunity to meet him. He was a great guy and I wish I had the chance to know him better. We will miss him dearly, but know that he is always with us. Take care and God be with you.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My thoughts and prayers are with the hollis family. Such a sad time requires a great deal of sympathy for those who have experienced such a loss.
Steve was a hard working individual who was filled with ambition and kindness.
His unselfish attitude and work ethic was an example of how all of us should conduct our daily lives.
Steve was truley a beacon of light to us all.
I was blessed to have worked with Steve. His spirit will live on here at VT Milcom, Jacksonville.
