DEAR GOD: We give you thanks during this time of season. However, this week we give you thnks for a very special reason. You see. . .It was just a week ago you took our Cousin Steve Hatchcock to be with you and Lord you know we miss him now, but one day we'll be there too.

You know who he would be before time ever began, and through your great love and mercy he was to be ours by your plan. He lived his life while here on earth for his children, grandchildren, nephews, neices and family and friends, and the love and joy he brought each life we know will never end.

Steve Hatchcock, we know that you can't come back to us but we will come to you, for on that great resurrection day, we will know His words were true.

The dead in Christ shall rise and then those that remain will be called to meet our Savior and forever we will reign. Therefore, we end this prayer of thanks dear God from the bottom of our hearts for ever though we are broken now, "Steve" one day we will never part!

We love and miss you.

He's the friend who always cares and understands,

Standing somewhere in the shadows you will find Him

And you'll know Him by the nailprints in His hands".

Kim and family, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have been included in your lives. Your father made me laugh and you all freely shared your loving family experience with us all. Although Steve was taken unexpectantly, his spirit lives on in each and everyone of you. Lynn, you have been a constant and anyone who came in contact with you both could see that. My love and prayers are with you all. Thank you for sharing your gift, your husband and father.

I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky,

And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,

And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking

And a gray mist on the sea's face and a gray dawn breaking.

I must go down to the sea again, for the call of the running tide

Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied:

And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,

And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the sea again,to the vagrant gypsy life,

To the gull's way and the whale's way where the winds like a whetted knife:

And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,

And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

Lynn and kids,

As we have watched and prayed these last few years, we have to be inspired by the Love, endurance, tender care and the team work that came through for Steve. This wonderful man, that we called brother, loved life and proved that by the mighty fight for it he gave. You all made him very proud and loved you dearly. We know you are taking care of each other, our love always, Ron and Margie Jo

Mr. Hatchcock was the kind of patient that is well liked in an office. He was always polite and friendly and upbeat--even when he really felt bad. He most always had a smile and always a word or two of good humor. He was interested in those folks who took care of him and remembered the things we talked about. He was a kind and gentle man. We will miss him. Surely he will be missed by many.
