Tetyana Black Obituary

BLACK Tetyana Valeriy Black fell asleep in the Lord on December 1st, 2007 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Tetyana was born on July 17th, 1972 in Russia. She received her Master's Degree in Teaching. She was an accomplished competitive swimmer and at one time was ranked fifth in the Soviet Union. She won many international swimming awards. She grew up in Kiev. Tetyana has many friends who admire her great faith, kind spirit and beautiful smile. Tetyana is survived by her loving husband Robert and children Matthew (6) and Mary (5), and her parents Valeriy and Nina Ryabushenko. On Tuesday, December 4th General Visitation will be in the St. Justin Martyr Church, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral at 7:00 p.m. (12460 Old St. Augustine Rd., 32258), and on Wednesday December 5th, the Liturgy for the Departed will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with the interment immediately following in parish cemetery. Close to Tetyana's heart was the work of the Russian Mission at St. Justin Martyr and the family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Russian Mission at St. Justin Martyr. Her family will strive to imitate her faith in God which produced the love and kindness she showed for others and look forward to being with her in heaven by God's mercy and kindness. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO
THE BLACK FAMILY AND TETYANA FAMILY

When I walked into church yesterday and saw the beautiful posters and pictures that the children drew and the albums next to the icon of the Theotokos it brightened my saddened heart. We have known your family only a short time and I know not very well, but we looked forward to seeing your family every liturgy and when you weren't there you were greatly missed!! Now at liturgy when we see your family not only will it bring us joy but it will also be a reminder that Tetyana is still celebrating liturgy with us among the saints...praying for all of us as a wife and mother could. Thank you for sharing your family with us!! Our prayers are always with you!!

My thoughts and prayers go to the Black family and the family of Tetyana. Though I did not know her well, it was immediately apparent when I met her, how wonderful and compassionate of a person she was. My good friend Robert always made sure to tell me how great of a mother and wife she was and how lucky he was that she had come into his life. Robert, may the lord and Tetyana's spirit give you and the children strength in this time. The prayers of my family and I are with you now and always.

Tetyana has been an inspiration to me as a mother and a person. Always thinking of others before herself, and always wanting to hear about the children. In the short time I have known her she has taught me many things. She is a kind and beautiful soul.

I only regret that I knew Tetyana for such a short period of time.
Just last week I looked into those big beautiful blue eyes and could feel the beauty of her soul.
Now she is gone and it us who are sad, for we have lost the joy of your friendship.
