Vu Tran Obituary

TRAN Vu Cong Tran, 90, passed away August 23, 2004. He was born in Viet-Nam and moved to Jacksonville in 1985. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his sons, Vi Cong Tran and Vuong Cong Tran; daughter, Minh-Suong Thi Tran; and brother, Du Cong Tran. Survivors include his wife, Cay Thi Nguyen; five sons, Phuong Van Tran (Mink Chau Thi Tran), Vinh Cong Tran, Rev. Vang Cong Tran, CSSR, Vien Cong Tran (My-Thi Vu), and Vong Cong Tran (Huang-Oanh); five daughters, Hong-Van Thi Tran, Tuy-Van Thi Tran (Tuynh Pham), Thanh-Van Thi Tran (Cuong Nguyen), Thu-Van Thi Tran (Binh Phan), and Dieu -Van Thi Tran; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 26th, and on Friday, August 27th, from 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7 p.m., followed by a wake service at 7:30 p.m., at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 28th, at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd., with Rev. Vang Cong Tran, CSSR, officiating.
