Doris (McKay) Sherman Arzberger, 80, of Mainesburg, passed away on Oct. 13, 2021 at her home. She was born on July 2, 1941 in Blossburg, a daughter of Harry and Luella (O'Dell) McKay. Doris was a member of Bakerburg Community Church and enjoyed daily devotions. She was devoted to her dog, Patsy and was an unpublished author. Doris enjoyed crocheting. She worked as a CNA for Bradford County Manor for 17 years.
Doris is survived by her son, Rusty (Tammy) Sherman of Roseville; three daughters, Dusty (Robert) Frost of Mansfield, Candy (Jamie) Spencer of Mainesburg, Ginger (Rodney) Spencer of Mainesburg; stepson, James (Jean) Sherman Jr. of Scranton; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister, Lucy (Joe) Sargeant.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Sherman, in 1992 and her second husband, Richard Arzberger, in 2020; a brother, Harry McKay Jr. and a grandson, Joshua Spencer, in 2000.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 1 - 2 p.m. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Pepper officiating. Burial will take place in State Road Cemetery in Mainesburg. Memorial contributions can be made to Second Chance Animal Care Sanctuary, 725 Gee Road, Tioga, PA 16946.
