Evelyn B. (Boyce) Connolly, 85, of Wellsboro, passed away on Jan. 3, 2018 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of William P. Connolly, who preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1997. Evelyn was born April 12, 1932 in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late John and Martha (Mays) Boyce. She attended Wellsboro High School and graduated with the class of 1951.
Evelyn had many jobs during her lifetime. She was a telephone operator for Commonwealth Telephone Company; receptionist for Dr. Kewitt and Dr. Bailey; worked beside her husband, Bill, at W.P. Connolly Real Estate Agency. She was a former owner of Parkview Hotel. Evelyn was a member of the Mary Wells Chapter of Eastern Star and of the Wellsboro Firemen's Auxiliary.
She loved crafting which was evidenced in the many crafts she made and gave as gifts. Evelyn enjoyed fishing. Most importantly she was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially the children.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas M. McConnell (Denese) of Florida and Timothy S. McConnell (Susan) of Wellsboro; grandchildren, Ryan McConnell (April) of Florida, Patrick McConnell (Mallory) of Florida, Shawn McConnell (Maegan) of Middlebury Center, and Travis McConnell (Noell) of Wellsboro; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers; Edward L. Boyce of Michigan and Richard Boyce of Wellsboro; sister, Barbara Boyce of Wellsboro; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by brothers, Lewis Boyce, Calvin Boyce and Jerry Boyce; sister, Ruth Mathers.
Family and friends are invited to Evelyn's Life Celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 1-3 p.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home. Memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Darwin "Tink" Cranmer officiating. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.

Aunt Ev, as I looked into your beautiful blue eyes that evening, I knew you were Heaven bound. Your Angels, family and friends made preparations for your Heavenly Homecoming. Lord, please bless Aunt Ev's earth bound family and send Your Angels to guide and watch over each of us. We will all miss you so much "Auntie Eb"! Love you!
