GARY DUNKLEBERGER Obituary
Upon graduating from Mansfield High School Jim entered the United States Air Force where he worked as an Electrical Power Production Specialist while stationed in Alaska and New York. After being honorably discharged from military service Jim went to work for American LaFrance building and testing fire trucks. When American LaFrance left our area, he went to work for Tioga Petroleum. Jim finished out his working life driving for BEST Transit.
Jim is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas (JoAnne) Wittig of Rebuck, Pa., Patrick James (Lisa) Dunkleberger of Mt. Airy, Md.; four granddaughters, Jessica (Kyle) Wittig, Yvonne (Baley Sutton) Wittig, Rory Dunkleberger, and Sydney Dunkleberger; a brother, Thomas (Linda) Dunkleberger of Mansfield; a brother-in-law, Richard (Karen) Tickner of Morganton, N.C.; two nieces, Valerie (Andy Jones) Miner, and Becky (Brian) Masterson; one nephew, Jason (Melissa) Dunkleberger; four great-nieces, Bethani (John) Waytas, Katelyn Masterson, Ruth Dunkleberger, and Nahomi Dunkleberger; six great-nephews, Devin Lechner, Jacob Dunkleberger, Trevor Masterson, Isaac Dunkleberger, Daniel Dunkleberger, and Zeke Dunkleberger, along with many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Jean Dunkleberger.
Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Denny Crumb officiating.
Following the funeral a committal service will take place at Roseville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Mansfield Little League or Roseville United Methodist Church, 4118 Route 549, Mansfield, PA 16933. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
