GLADYS POWERS Obituary
Born Oct. 15, 1928, in Blossburg, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mamie (Steckle) Hall.
She was an honorary member and active in the Tioga Fire Department.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husbands, Cleone Cooper, Sr. and Jack Powers. She is survived by her son, Cleone (Karen) Cooper, Jr. of North Port, Fla.; her daughter, Joanne (David) Wilber of Lawrenceville; step-children, Robert Powers of Ava, N.Y., John Powers of Tioga, Kathy Powers of North Dakota, Michael Powers of Tioga, Jackie Waxman of Georgia, Joel Powers of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Cleone ""Pete"" (Vinetta) Cooper, III, Roger (Charity) Rose Jr., Robert Cleone (Angie) Rose; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren;one great-great-granddaughter and special family friends, Donna and Bill Padgett.
Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland, today, Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following on Thursday, 2 p.m., with Norm Ray and Floyd Wood, her nephews, officiating. So sorry for your loss Joanne, she was a wonderful lady, I've know her since my son Mathew was just a baby and he is 15yrs old now, she loved kids and she loved life, she always had a smile on her face, sending prayers for your family, she is your angel now watching over all of you, she will be missed, she is with jack now, god is taking care of her now. She isn't in pain anymore.
