Gordon L. Williams, 90, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving daughters, Gloria Laine, Sandy Thomas, Cindy Barry and Christine McCoy.
He was born Jan. 1, 1931 in Hall, New York to the late Kenneth D. and Viola Fulkerson Ward Williams.
He leaves behind sons-in-law, Mike, John and Glenn and a daughter-in-law, Lisa.
He was one of nine children of which Edith, Franklin, and Kenneth remain.
Gordon was a loving husband, father and grandfather to five children, 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Rosemarie; son, Chuck; sisters, Ruth, Helen, Joan and brothers, Ward and Donald.
Gordon was a devoted employee of 25 years at Morton's Market and 24 years at Publix, where he retired.
He was a devoted family man who enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He had a special way with the young ones from his grandbabies to nieces and nephews and the great and great-great relatives. Lots of smiles and giggles! Gordon was always willing to help anyone in need. Our family is truly blessed to have many beautiful memories of times shared. He will be dearly missed.
A viewing will be held at Wilston's Funeral Home in Mansfield on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 12 to 1 p.m.
