HAROLD RAWSON Obituary
He was born on September 2, 1942, in Wellsboro, a son of the late Arnold and Laura (Eberenz) Rawson and was the husband of the late Vivian (Blackwell) Rawson.
Dick served in the U.S. Army, was a self-employed mechanic for many years and enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors. If Dickie can't fix it, nobody can.
He is survived by three sons: Rick (Jeanette Patt) Rawson of England, William (Brooke Beacom) Rawson of Wellsboro, Richard Rawson of Wellsboro, daughter: Ruth Rawson of Wellsboro and six grandchildren: Adam Rawson, Darius Rawson, Sidney Rawson, Jordan Rawson, Hannah Gile, Caleb Gile; brothers: David (Connie) Rawson, Jerry (Sharon) Rawson, James (Sharon) Rawson; sisters: Lois Richter, Nancy Taynton, Jane (Dave) Miller; sister-in-law: Jan Watts.
He was predeceased by two brothers: George and Allan and a sister: Sally.
A private family memorial service will be held by the family.

You will be truly missed my friend. Dick and my mother Iva Sherman were friend for as long as I can remember until she passed a couple years ago and he was with us Until the end. Very generous man. Fly high my friend knowing you were loved by many.

Dick & I were friends back in the 1950's & 60's. He stood p with George & I at our wedding. Dick taught me how to drive his "54" Ford, Canary yellow convertible, at 16. He took me to get my drivers license. He sat in the back seat with his helmit on. The State Police laughed, & told him he couldn't go with us. He told Dick to put it back on, if I was driving home. We had a lot of fun. Him & Vivian were my oldest daughters God Parents.They just got back from Germany, Dick was in the Army then. I loved him like a brother, & he will never be forgoten. Noone can ever take his place. Jim, May God bless you & all your family.
