1942 - 2021
Omer Albert Higley, 78, of Palmyra passed away Friday, May 21, 2021. Born Sept. 20,1942, in Wellsboro, he was the son of Albert J & Marian E Harris Higley.
He was a master carpenter for most of his life and continued to enjoy carpentry, gardening, and reading.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda Marie Covert Higley; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Gleason and parents, Albert and Marian Higley.
Surviving are three daughters, Victoria Higley of Palmyra, Jennifer Chubb of Williamstown and Amy Higley of Harrisburg; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Ralph Monroe of King of Prussia; seven grandsons; a great-granddaughter; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was by the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania. Burial to be made at Shumway Hill Cemetery at a date yet to be determined.

I worked with Omer for several years at Patterson Lumber. He taught me a lot and was fun to work with. He was also dedicated to his family.
