Pauline M. (Boyce) Harding, 88, of Covington, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was married to the late Clarence C. Harding, who preceded her in death in 1993. Born June 10, 1932 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Marie (Thomas) Boyce.
Pauline enjoyed working and interacting with customers at the former Hartsock's Bakery in Mansfield and Marvin's Grocery Store in Covington.
She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ and a group of 55 or older friends who would meet weekly to have lunch and play cards. Pauline also liked to bird watch, but her true passion was knitting, especially her famous Christmas stockings, which were gifted to many of her friends and family.
She put her family above all else, whether she was chatting over Sunday dinner, attending family gatherings or simply spending time with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Both Pauline and her family have greatly appreciated the kindness displayed by each of her home health care providers.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jean (Ed) Knapp, Sue (Scott) Henry, Karen (Robert Ziegler) Hesselbach, Phyllis (Bill) Magnotta, Marcia (Bill Walters) Harding, Cindy (Scott) Harding-House and Jill (Jamie) Logan; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Cindy Harding and Sulema Harding; very close friend, Betty Strauss; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Harding and SFC Roger Harding and two sisters, Maryetta Luke and June Kendrick Stevens.
In keeping with Pauline's wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Covington Church of Christ, 2225 N Williamson Road, Covington, PA 16917.
Pauline will be laid to rest next to her husband in Gray Cemetery, Covington.
